The ongoing clashes are taking place near Paris' Place de la République, not far from the Ahmet-Kaya Kurdish cultural centre, which was the site of Friday's shooting. On Friday, a gunman killed three people and injured three others at the cultural centre on Rue d'Enghien in central Paris in what appeared to be a racist attack. Kurds were among those who perished. As the suspected attacker in Friday's attack, a 69-year-old French man with a lengthy criminal record has been apprehended.
