This happened after vendors clashed with the guards over a ban on selling eatables in the high-security area. Cops say the incident took place at the children's park next to India Gate. India Gate falls in a no-vending zone and the guards had asked the vendors to clear the area, the police said. According to the police, vendors attacked the guards when a truck was brought to clear the kiosks. In viral videos, guards are seen thrashing vendors and dragging them out as they refused to go.
