The UGC has said that foreign universities can only offer full-time programmes in physical mode i.e. they cannot offer online or distance learning. The UGC Chairman has stated that those universities who get initial approvals for 10 years in India. These universities that plan to set up their branches in India will have the freedom to devise their own admission process for Indian and international students.
