8:03Now PlayingLingayat seer has rejected the quota assurance given by the Karnataka government. Karnataka state cabinet has given a reservation assurance for Lingayat in OBC category. However when a meeting happened between Lingayat leaders and various leaders from BJP and Congress, Panchamshali's leader rejected the quota assurance given by the state government and has given a new deadline to Cm for benefits. Now even Brhamin community has objected the reservation stating that the resevation may impact on already exisiting EWS reservation.In the last week of December thousands of Panchamasali Lingayats protest was held in Belagavi as a show of force on Tuesday demanding a higher percentage of the Other Backward Castes' (OBCs) reservation quota in education and jobs in Karnataka.
