6:30Now PlayingAccording to the most recent updates coming from Mirror Now, an under-construction Metro pillar fell on a two-wheeler in the Nagavara area of Bengaluru on Tuesday morning, killing a woman and her two-year-old son. The incident seriously injured the woman's husband and daughter. Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) officials said a reinforcement structure made of iron rods for the construction of Metro pillars crashed on the bike-borne family. Up until now, justice has not been served to the Bengaluru victim's family.
Despite the addition of the names of the metro administration and private construction firm owners to the FIR, no arrests have been made. The administration also sacked three engineers in the pillar case.
Mirror Now, reporter talks to Indian Institute of Science (IISC) team member Professor Chandra Kishen. He said, "There are a lot of temporary structures at the time of construction, and one of the supporting structures led to this tragic mishap.
