The Government was allegedly seeking to "capture" the judiciary, according to the Opposition. The administration was allegedly aiming to monopolise independent constitutional institutions, according to the opposition, particularly the Congress. Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, described it as a risky decision. The risk involved is great. He stated on Twitter that there should be zero tolerance for government meddling in judiciary selections.
