3:05Now PlayingIn a recent incident at Mahalaxmi Layout, Bengaluru, a lorry got stuck in a newly asphalted road and an underground pipeline was also damaged in the incident. As per reports, the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) workers carried out pipeline maintenance work in the same spot couple of days ago and asphalted the road afterward. Matter of fact is that the road caved in merely after 48 hours raising the question of the quality of asphalt and other materials used for construction and defining criminal negligence by authorities. This incident is in line with a series of similar civic apathy such as an electric pole dangerously bent, a pothole appearing in the middle of a busy road and two lives lost in a metro pillar collapse in Bengaluru.
