Before the first big rally, the tranquil town of Khammam near the border of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was transformed into a "pink metropolis" with hundreds of flexes, banners, and balloons in party colours dotting its skyline. Even KCR's most ardent supporters are perplexed by his venue selection because Khammam is not really a BRS stronghold and only has one MLA who was elected on a TRS ticket.
