2:42Now PlayingThe Kerala government has resolved to give menstruation leave to all female students over the age of 18 at all colleges and universities in the state. Menstrual leave was first authorized by the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), and it was subsequently adopted by the Kerala-based A P J Abdul Kalam Technological University. In a social media post on Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan claimed that by granting menstrual and maternity breaks to female students at all institutions under the higher education department, the state had become a national example.
