Bajrang Punia took the initiative and addressed the media about their concerns and plan to continue the demonstration if justice would not be served. All of these protesting wrestlers had already written PT Usha, the president of the Indian Olympic Association, a letter complaining about Brij Bhushan Sharan, the head of the Wrestling Federation of India. In a letter to IOA President PT Usha, the top wrestlers accused the WFI President of financial irregularities and sexual exploitation. Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Ravi Dahiya, and Deepak Punia all signed a letter requesting the resignation of the WFI president and the creation of an investigating committee into the allegations of sexual abuse.
