Based on reports that many active PFI workers are in Kollam, NIA officials have been in the district for the past few days. Mohammed Sadiq, a 38-year-old PFI activist from Chavara, was arrested by the NIA on Tuesday. He was apprehended at 3 a.m. with the assistance of Chavara police. NIA investigators had arrived in the Chavara area earlier in the day.
