Sikandar Raza, Sam Curran, and Mohammad Rizwan were edged out for first place by Suryakumar. Last year, the right-handed batter scored 1164 runs in 31 games. His strike rate when batting was 187.43.
Suryakumar, who was playing international cricket for the second time in 2022, was the only batter to surpass 1000 runs last year. He also made history by becoming the first Indian batsman to score 1000 runs in a calendar year. He recorded 9 half-centuries and 2 centuries.
