5:54Now PlayingAs per the latest news on Mirror Now, the Karnataka unit of the Congress has slammed the BJP over the content of a state government circular addressed to the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) in which it was instructed to issue two-page advertisements to Brahmin-owned newspapers every month. According to the circular, the policy applies to district-level and regional dailies on the department's media list. According to Twitter users, the circular dated January 24, 2023, mentioned 'The Commissioner of the Information Department' on behalf of the Government of Karnataka. "Government order to advertise on district and regional newspapers owned by Brahmins is intolerable," Congress said in response. Why are other communities' newspapers not supported by advertisements?"
