Chandrasekhar stated, in response to the debate's topic, "India's Techade- A Decade of Opportunities," that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had outlined a three-pronged strategy for IT in 2015: "Expand the digital economy, improve citizen quality of life, and turn India into a technology producer rather than a consumer." The minister stated, "I have never been quite as thrilled as now for India's tech future looking at the pace at which the government is digitalizing under PM Modi's ambition of making India a technology superhub".
