The committee will consist of the Prime Minister, the leader of the opposition, and the Chief Justice Of India. The Apex Court, says 'It will ensure independence and will prevent the interference of the Election Commission of India ( ECI) in its functioning.' On the contrary, the center opposed the intervention by the Supreme Court during the hearing.
