After receiving his PhD in material science on Wednesday at Mangalore University's 41st annual convocation, Prabhakar Kuppahalli, 79, demonstrated that there is no upper age limit to learning (March 15). Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering in Bengaluru hosts Kuppahalli, a visiting professor with more than 40 years of teaching expertise. At the same college, which is connected to Mangalore University, he had enrolled for his Doctorate. The professor had intended to complete the degree when he was working in the US when he was younger, but unforeseen events prevented it from happening. But after turning 75, he decided to give it another shot. We are joined by Professor Prabhakar Kuppahalli exclusively on Mirror Now. "Well it is very exciting. In fact, you know at this age to get the degree it was a sheer hard-work which I did and I feel very excited about it. Thank you for congratulating me," says Professor Prabhakar Kuppahalli.
