The 13-kilometer stretch is expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 25, when he visits Karnataka. The BMRCL or the state government has not announced the official date yet. This stretch is the first phase of the Whitefield-Baiyappanahalli corridor (Reach-1 extension). The route has 12 stations, and Metro will cover the distance between Whitefield and KR Puram in 22 minutes.
