A day after being found guilty of defamation in 2019 by a court in Gujarat's Surat, Rahul Gandhi was removed from the Lok Sabha on Friday. Gandhi (52), a four-time MP, will not be eligible to run for office for eight years until a higher court overturns his conviction as a result of the disqualification.
