2:39Now PlayingAmul milk prices were raised by Rs 2 per litre across the state Saturday by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF). This is the first price increase in the state since the Gujarat Assembly elections in December 2022. GCMMF, the state's apex body of milk cooperatives, generally announces milk price increases in advance, but remained mute this time. According to sources, higher fodder and transportation costs have contributed to the increase in milk production costs. With the current increase, the price of Amul Buffalo milk is now Rs 68 per litre, while Amul Gold is now Rs 64 per litre and Amul Shakti is Rs 58 per litre. Amul Cow Milk currently costs Rs 54 per litre, Amul Tazaa costs Rs 52 per litre, and Amul T-special costs Rs 60 per litre.
