2:41Now PlayingOver Rs 100 crore worth of election-related items were seized in Karnataka on Sunday, according to the Chief Election Officer's office. The CEO reportedly told the daily bulletin that since the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) went into force in the state on March 29, seizures of Rs 99.18 crore have been made. When the overall number of instances reached 792 on Sunday, the total amount of cash, alcohol, and free gifts confiscated since the model code of conduct's publication on March 29 crept closer to Rs 100 crore. According to the Chief Electoral Officer's seizure report, 3.23 crore rupees were taken in the day before Sunday night's election.
