This comes after comedian Kunal Kamra had filed a plea challenging IT rules amedment that allegedly lets the Government fact-check fake news on social media. The remark came after Additonal Solicitor General Anil Singh said that 'there was no urgency in hearing the plea as there will be a separate notification regarding fact check unit.' The court has ordered the Centre to file an affidavit by April 19 and Kamra's petition challenge the constitutional validity of the rule.
