9:47Now PlayingFormer Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party after being denied a ticket for the state Assembly election on May 10. The Lingayat leader said there was a systematic conspiracy against him and that he was never an indurate person but was pushed to become one by the party. The six-time MLA made the declaration shortly after failing to meet with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Dharmendra Pradhan.
"BJP should've been prepared and should not have waited till the last minute to tell Jagdish Shettar that he can't contest in election", says Syam Prasad Meka.
