On Sunday night, at least 22 of the 40 passengers drowned to death. The Indian Penal Code's Section 302 has been utilised to charge P Nasar, the alleged boat owner. According to the reports, the Kerala High Court also chastised the State government for failing to punish the personnel in charge of the unfortunate boat events severely.
