2:16Now PlayingBreaking News: A bird struck a Dubai-bound IndiGo flight carrying 160 passengers as it reached the runway from the taxiway at Mangaluru International Airport. According to an MIA spokeswoman, 6E 1467 Mangaluru-Dubai (8.25am departure) was hit by a bird as aircraft entered the runway from the taxiway. The pilot promptly notified air traffic control, and the aircraft returned to the apron at 8.30 a.m. All passengers were evacuated, and the plane was declared an aircraft on ground (AOG) for a complete engineering inspection. The passengers were later accommodated on another IndiGo flight from Bengaluru. At 11.05 a.m., the rescheduled Dubai flight took off.
