Two people from the roughly 20-person mob were detained after the event, whose video went viral on social media, occurred on Thursday night in the city. A complaint has been filed under Indian Penal Code Section 307 (attempt to kill), and seven defendants have been named thus far. While attempts were being made to locate and apprehend the other 20 or so members of the crowd, two of the accused, both between the ages of 23 and 26, have already been detained.
