As per the latest reports, the Taliban has captured an Iranian outpost. Several troops have been killed and wounded amid the dispute over water rights. As per reports, the Taliban opened fire first on Saturday morning on the border. The clash comes as Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi earlier this month warned the Taliban not to violate Iran's water rights to the Helmand River. The Iran Meteorological Organization says that an estimated 97 percent of the country now faces some level of drought.
