The event took place when the train was stopped at the station. However, there were no casualties noted. The Kozhikode railway arson case two months ago involved the very same train. After receiving a report regarding the event, the fire department arrived and extinguished the flames. The train's other coaches were split apart from the carriage that was on fire. The Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) CCTV footage was checked by the police in the interim, and they observed an unknown individual entering the train, which led to the fire event.
