as posted by the channelIn this episode of The Urban Debate, host Shreya Dhoundial will discuss how Cyclone Biparjoy, a highly powerful cyclone, was downgraded to a very severe cyclone on Tuesday, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The cyclone is located around 290 kilometres southwest of Porbandar in Gujarat and is heading northward at a pace of five kilometres per hour, according to the weather department. On Thursday, it is anticipated to pass across Gujarat's Saurashtra and Kutch districts as well as the nearby Pakistani beaches. Gujarat Maritime Board has stopped operations at the Adani Group's flagship Mundra facility, India's busiest container harbour, the oil ports of Vadinar and Sikka, as well as Kandla, Okha, Bedi, and Navlakhi. For the massive Jamnagar refinery of Reliance Industries Ltd., Sikka is a crucial infrastructure. Indian Railways has activated the disaster management room and created emergency control rooms in different districts of Gujarat in response to the oncoming Cyclone Biparjoy to guarantee smooth rail operation.
