Edappadi K Palaniswami, the general secretary of the AIADMK, read out the resolution to reporters after the district secretaries' meeting at the party's headquarters in Chennai, noting that Annamalai had "intentionally" maligned Jayalalithaa in an interview she gave to a prominent English newspaper. He continued by saying that it profoundly damaged both the people and AIADMK cadres' feelings. Annamalai has come under fire from AIADMK officials and party members when he implied that she was corrupt during the interview. A huge group of AIADMK cadres had convened for the meeting on Tuesday. Women supporters of the state's main opposition party vowed to occupy Annamalai's home if he ever spoke negatively about "Amma" again. We are joined by a few panelists expressing their views on this issue. “When there's an alliance, one must know how to uphold its 'dharma,” stated Kovai Sathyan , AIADMK Spokesperson.
