Bengaluru Rains: The arrival of the monsoon in Bengaluru has brought with it the familiar problems of water logging and traffic chaos. Despite assurances from the Congress government to address these perennial issues, the city continues to suffer. Even a brief spell of rain has resulted in water logging, as seen in areas like the HRBR layout. The drainage system has failed to cope, leaving commuters, especially bikers, struggling through knee-deep water. While some cars have opted to turn back, many have no choice but to navigate through the flooded streets due to the proximity to their homes and workplaces. It remains to be seen if the BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) will take effective measures to prevent such water logging and the resulting traffic congestion during the monsoon season.
