4:34Now PlayingIndia's prestigious lunar landing spacecraft, Chandrayaan 3, is moving closer to its intended injection spot in orbit. Spacecraft have payloads. Rambha to measure the near-surface plasma density, i.e., the density of ions and electrons, and its changes with time. Chandra's Surface Thermophysical Experiment, or CHEST, measures the thermal properties of the lunar surface near the polar regions. To measure the seismicity around the landing site and delineate the structure of the lunar crust and mantle, the payload ILSA is there. The rover, after its descent, will further scientific study objectives through its own payloads. For a better understanding of the chemical and mineralogical composition of the lunar surface, LIBS, or Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscope, is included. Another payload is the Alpha Particle X-ray Spectrometer.
