He praised states and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for destroying 1.44 lakh kg of drugs worth ₹2,378 crore. Shah urged all chief ministers and governors to take similar steps in their states and stressed the importance of maximum awareness among youths to combat the drug menace. He also highlighted the significant increase in the crackdown against drugs under the PM Modi-led NDA government. Law enforcement organizations across states participated in the destruction of drugs, totaling 10 lakh kg worth ₹12,000 crore in the past year.
