The government took precautions to prevent the spread of vector-borne diseases, although none were detected in the camps. The health minister assessed the situation in various relief camps and inspected hospitals in east Delhi. The flooding mainly impacted low-lying areas around the Yamuna, particularly in east and northeast Delhi. Over 7,000 people sought refuge in flood relief camps, and the Delhi government announced compensation of Rs. 10,000 for each affected family.
