The dam authorities have opened one gate of the dam to release water. IMD has issued orange alert in many parts of the state. As incessant rains continue to lash Mumbai, its infrastructure seems to be crumbling. Earlier, a landslide was reported in the city's Andheri area. According to the BMC, gravel started rolling down from a hillock near the building. Several homes were damaged in the incident. A road in Mumbai's Goregaon area also caved in.
