2:29Now PlayingThe Supreme Court receives an application to extend the term of ED Chief SK Mishra; his already extended tenure is set to end on July 31st. On behalf of the government, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta has submitted an application to the top court, which will be taken up by a bench headed by Justice BR Gavai. While SC already stated that the extension will be given only in rare cases, the Centre replied with their reasons stated clearly, stating that the extension is necessary until November 31st for the Chief to carry out the on-going important business. The application will be heard tomorrow.
