A yellow alert urges awareness and issues a traffic disruption and waterlogging warning. There hasn't been much rain in the city over the last 24 hours. The Safdarjung weather station, the city's primary weather observatory, has so far this month recorded 369.2 mm of rainfall, which is 92% more than the average of 192.6 mm through July 28. "There is quite good quality of rainfall activity over central India and northern peninsula starting with Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh," stated M Mohapatra, IMD chief.
