One of India’s biggest educational institutions IIT-Bombay is recently in news due to the ‘Vegetarian Only’ poster hanging on its walls, without any administrative role in the discriminatory process. Dean of Students Affair have issued an anti-discriminatory guideline and an e-mail blast for all students to warn them about the prohibition of such acts. Students also mentioned that discrimination has spread to other institutes as well. The discrimination between ‘pure vegetarians’ and ‘non-vegetarian’ students came into light when the poster outside the mess of IIT-B was circulated online.
