1. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has released meteorological updates for a number of regions around the nation, forecasting future rainfall patterns. Rain alert has been issued for Delhi, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Bihar and for other states as well.
2. For most of the day, the Kalka-Shimla National Highway (NH)-5 between Parwanoo and Dharampur remained blocked to traffic due to enormous fractures, piles of rubble, and stones streaming down. But by late evening, just one road lane was open to vehicles.
3. According to official reports, several villages were cut off due to flash floods in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
4. On Sunday, Himachal Pradesh was devastated by torrential rains that led to landslides, flash floods, property damage, and the disruption of everyday life. For two days, no classes were held at schools or colleges.
5. Treks on lower-altitude routes are still subject to limitations even if treks on higher-altitude routes are now prohibited in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
