The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has stated that the Constitution permits Parliament to make laws for Delhi and also mentioned that comments made against the Bill are politically motivated and lack any basis. Shah's statement came upon the AAP's assertion that the Bill is the most undemocratic piece of legislation ever presented in Parliament and that it will replace democracy with "babucracy."
Shreya Upadhyaya has been joined a panel of experts to discuss this in detail. Political Analyst, Dr. P Joshi, said, “Centre does not want Delhi govt to function properly and are taking cheap political potshots.”
