After passengers pulled the chain of the train, which stopped close to Mira Road station (on the Mumbai suburban network) at approximately 6 AM, he was captured with his weapon later while attempting to leave. Constable Chetan Singh (34), used his automatic weapon to shoot and kill RPF Assistant Sub-Inspector Tika Ram Meena and another passenger in coach B5.
