The CBI has charged Sisodia with engaging in a criminal conspiracy with South Indian suspects and manipulating public opinion. The Supreme Court has sent letters to the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation in response to Sisodia's bail application in the excise scam case. The Delhi High Court has also denied Sisodia's bail application, citing "very serious in nature" allegations against him. The CBI's affidavit seeks to prohibit Sisodia from receiving bail and to keep him in custody throughout the continuing investigation into the excise scam.
