The Dalit community is angered towards the actor and are staging a protest while also filing FIRs. The actor had made some upsetting comments during his livestream towards his party workers that have upset the community and later Upendra deleted the video from his social media handles. Later through a tweet he issued an apology stating the reason for him deleting the video and acknowledging the hurt sentiments. The protests against the Kannada actor were staged in a few regions and are planned to be held in Bengaluru as well.
