This is because Indian athletes will not be able to compete at the upcoming World Championships under the Indian flag or play Indian National Anthem as the WFI got its membership suspended. Political Analyst, Tehseen Poonawalla says, "Yesterday we put India On The Moon with Chandrayaan 3, but the government has put us in shame. Our national pride will be wrestling under a neutral flag". General Secretary of Haryana Wrestling Association, Rakesh Sigh says, "We should focus on holding WFI elections and becoming a member of the World Wrestling body again. Such scandals keep happening everyday".
