The Cauvery Water Regulation Committee has recommended that the Karnataka government release water to Tamil Nadu. It has been instructed to release 5000 Cusecs of water every day for the next 15 days. After the CWRC order, Karnataka farmers held a silent protest wearing blindfolds. During the round table talks, the Cauvery water body emphasised that lack of rainfall cannot be the reason to release less water. Farmers and pro-Kannada organisations also held a meeting over the issue.
