However, Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has declined to be a part of the panel. Chowdhury wrote a strong letter to the home minister, calling the exercise an 'eyewash'. After a political storm erupted, Chowdhury came out and cleared the air. He said that he had asked the PM's Principal Secretary to send over all necessary documents related to the 'One Nation, One Election' and he would take a decision after studying the documents.
