She faced a strong challenge from the Chinese opponent Wu Xiaowei, who retained her gold medal from the previous edition. Roshibina fought valiantly but lost 0-2 in two rounds. However, she improved her performance at the 2018 Asian Games, where she had bagged a bronze medal. Roshibina dedicated her silver medal to the people of Manipur, who have been facing ethnic violence and turmoil since May 2023. She said that she could not visit her village, which is one of the hotspots of the conflict, and that she was anxious about her family and friends. She also thanked her coaches and supporters for their guidance and encouragement.
