The episode, which occurred shortly after a similar occurrence in Thane where 18 people passed away in a single night, has once more caused the State's health system to come under intense scrutiny.
The deaths are ascribed to a scarcity of medical supplies, which is made worse by poor healthcare facilities, a paucity of medical staff, and an unexpected surge of patients from Parbhani, Hingoli, and Yavatmal's adjacent districts.
