The pleas involve the Udhav Sena's case against 39 Shinde camp MLAs and the NCP camp's case against Ajit Pawar and 8 MLAs. The Supreme Court has given the Speaker until October 30th to establish a realistic timeline, with a warning that if no significant progress is made, the Court may intervene. “Rahul Narwekar will have to explain the delay. Whatever decision he takes, it is bound to reach the Supreme Court,” says Swapnil Kothari, senior lawyer.
