Vishwanathan was fatally murdered on the Nelson Mandela Marg on September 30, 2008, as she drove from work to her house. Ravi Kapoor, Amit Shukla, Baljeet Malik, Ajay Kumar, and Ajay Sethi are the five people who were detained in connection with the homicide and have been there since March 2009.
