This infrequent occurrence, last seen in 2018, has triggered stormy conditions in both areas. Cyclone Tej, originating in the Arabian Sea, is moving north-westward after crossing Yemen. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued warnings of a Deep Depression over the Bay of Bengal, with rough to very rough sea conditions expected until October 25.
